Leila Costa, LMFT
I am a bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist originally from Brazil, raised in a Portuguese-speaking family. Having lived on three different continents, I bring a rich multicultural perspective to my work. Over the past 20 years, I have worked with a wide range of clients, including cancer patients and their families, individuals experiencing grief, and people navigating eating disorders or substance use challenges.
I have trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches, which allows me to provide effective support for couples, families, and individuals. In addition to talk therapy, I am trained in body- and mind-based trauma therapies such as EMDR and Brainspotting. I guide my clients as they embark on the journey of making meaningful changes, reaching their potential, and creating a more fulfilling life.
In therapy with me, you can expect support in areas such as:
Gaining a deeper understanding of yourself, your goals, and your values
Learning to regulate your emotions and cope with stress, anxiety, grief, or anger
Improving your communication and relationship skills
Breaking old patterns and developing healthier habits
Building self-esteem and confidence
My goal as your therapist is to help you feel healthier, more empowered, and more connected to your inner self. Together, we can explore new perspectives, address challenges, and help you move toward a life of greater meaning, satisfaction, and happiness.
